Weekly Scout Meeting Wrap Up (21 Oct 2009)

Hello everyone!

I thought so you could stay up to date with what we are doing in scouts I would send a brief blogpost pertaining to the happenings of the Troop Meeting.

I am emailing this one but check it out on our troop blog
Tim Ellsworth has offered a surprise to anyone who comments on this blogpost!
I would encourage you to become a follower of this blog so that you can get emails of the posts that make it up here. (It will make it a lot more convenient for you to keep track of what your boys are doing!)

Also I wanted to make you all aware that I have changed my email address for scout purposes only so that, when I am released from this calling we can maintain this infrastructure that we are working so hard to set up. It is troop222scoutmaster@gmail.com
Feel free to email me at my other email address (it all pops to the same place anyway), I just wanted to make you aware of the change.

Tonight the boys planned for the coming months and came with a few items to keep us busy for the coming months.
In the coming months we will be working on the following merit badges:
-Communications
This should be finished in about 2 weeks.
-Aviation
This will involve (most likely) a trip to the Rantoul Aerospace Museum
-Climbing
This one is mostly finished
-Citizenship in the Community

We have some other fun activities planned and have already looked at a camp out date (tentatively for the 13-14th of November). We are really excited for the progress we are making and don't forget about the Merit Badge Clinic this Saturday!
